man, you hit the nail on the head there, especially the bolded part. That is pretty much exactly what I thought when I started seeing McCain's new ads. You can't run your campaign on negative ads. History shows it has never worked and I sincerely doubt it will ever work. People want to know why they should vote for you, not why they shouldn't vote for the other guy.
McCain still has my vote. But that vote is only because of some issues the Obama supports that I am virulently opposed to, not because I like anything (and I do mean anything) about McCain.
