If and when that happens, HD players will be $100 or less and the PS3 will still be $200 or more, making the PS3's Blu-Ray capabilities irrelevent to most consumers.
The PS3 may have given Blu-Ray a shot in the arm but by the time Blu-Ray is mass market in the eyes of consumers, they'll be looking at the much cheaper stand-alone players and not the PS3.Â
