I can understand everyone saying the PS3 will sell 50 million before the 360 but that's only if Microsoft decides to stop making 360's after It's fourth year of production. Because at the current rate the 360 should be even with the PS3 in sales this year and next unless Sony does another price cut (which they should anyways next year).
I believe MS however will keep the 360 going for 6-7 years before they put out their next system. Why? Profit. Microsoft has lost a lot on the original XBox and they are still in the red lifetime with the 360 after their initial year and the RROD warranty, so they need to make up some of that. Just ask the stock holders. Anyways the 360 is going to be out for 3 years on November 22nd in the US.
It's just that simple.
