I must also add S-E couldn't have done a more stupid thing than make this timed exclusive on 360

it will kill any decent PS3 sales WW....look at Eternal Sonata

they just lost a whole (by then) 17 Million strong console userbase....

If it is meant to be their "3rd" big seller 360 alone won't get this JRPG around the 3 - 5 million sales range

that was their first misstep.

I think there expecting sales more modest like 1-2 million copies.  I don't think it is possible for TLR, as a series to sell as well as an FF and DQ game after only one game.  BTW, S-E already have a third pillar with Kingdom Hearts.  They WOULD also have other pillar franchises but they either haven't made a game in those series for years(Chrono, Xenogears, Parasite Eve) or they milked them to the point where they lost most of their popularity(SaGa, Mana).

I forgot KH :(

But a series needs to start somewhere....why couldn't this be the breakthrough that was KH....why couldn't it?

I am not assuming it will.....I was saying that due to it being 360 timed exclusive the chances of becoming a "breakthrough" are really low

as hype will have died by the time the Ps3 version comes out....also I think it will get near LO on 360....

what SE needed was a simulteneous release where the 360 version got near LO n the starved Ps3 JRPG fans helped it get to almost say double LO sales....

but now due to Ps3 versions hype going....360 version will get 800K...but PS3 version won't cross 200K imo....that means reducing it to only 1 million in sales.

this is all assuming it does that well on 360 in the first place....TOV proves even a good franchise name might not sell JRPG's on 360.
