But Nintendo announcing a 1:1 movement sword fighting game?  I've never experienced that before.   Nobody has!  That's why we experienced gamers love Wii so much.

Why is it that Wii owners are still excited over the potential of the system, when that system has yet to deliver on the promise of that potential?

"Next year I'll be able to buy another peripheral that will improve an inaccurate motion-sensing control system...you know, the same broken control scheme that is so REVOLUTIONARY that it needs fixing!"

Nintendo only wants to keep selling peripherals and marketing double-speak...and guys like frybread are eating it up like bon-bons.

Here I was thinking it was the PS3 people bought for "potential" (after you get a second job of course)

The Wii has massive future potential yes, but in most people eyes it has achieved considerably more than either of the other consoles in terms of great games (which it now has in droves, albeit a good 50% thanks to Nintendo themselves) This is why it sells well.

If the console is as you say, still not living up to the others, then why is it still selling more than the combined totals of the other two.... Had it not built up a decent library of games by now it would have been the fad that the doubters thought it was nearly 2 years ago.... A console cannot sell so well for 2 years straight with nothing going for it.
