Actually, WiiStation360, most of the said consoles were undertracked in some way or another....X360 was low since NPD only covers the USA.

Unless you are talking about software as well, the DS and 360 are still overtracked after multiplying by .9.  Not by much mind you, but they aren't undertracked.

Interesting to see how big the gap was between the PS3 and Wii versions of TFU.  VGC has them practically equal, while NPD has the PS3 45% higher.

Actually as BKK2 has proved with his vast collection of sales data, the PS3 is either unreleased, or selling basically nothing in the areas outside USA and Canada, while the X360 is doing very well in Mexico and most South American countries.

So in fact, for the X360... you shouldn't just add 10%, but more like 12%

Wheras for PS3, adding in Canada usually only adds 8% or so, and Wii about 9 or 10%.... DS sells well in most places, so it would be slightly more than 10% too.

The 10% figure is in reference to the whole market, so of all Americas sales, USA accounts for 90%, but the split differes between consoles.

Even with 12% the 360 is overtracked, it would have to be about 19%.  Also that is the reason I posted this.

Why don't we just have a United States chart so we don't have all these arguments about how X doesn't sell in Canada and Y sells really well in El Salvador.  I mean we have weekly hardware for Australia, and it only sold 29k hardware units total last week.

ioi gets numbers from these countries does he not?  Even if he doesn't get them from SA countries, that doesn't mean there can't be a US chart.  This would clear up so much bickering I don't see why it hasn't been done yet.

Not to mention when people from other sites compare the numbers, they probably won't bother to scale the numbers down for the US.  All they see is "oh there are the 'America' numbers with a United States flag next to it.  Hmm all these numbers are much higher than NPD, they are obviously just making up numbers"
