Umm i stopped reading when you said xbox had the least diverse game not having any jrpgs......

considering that at the moment xbox has more jrpgs then ps i dont know what your talking about. As for saying that games wont push sales then we could say that about every single person who says ff etc will push sony.

As for ps3 being 300 thats possible if sony wants to lose even more money on the ps3, they are losing huge ammounts and unless they can really decrease production costs it would cost a fortune to drop it this low.

I can see the possiblility of it being that low but it all depends on cost of production and if blue ray wins the HD format (its winning right now ) =)

1) If you'll read more carefully, I said that it doesn't have any prominent JRPGs. Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon have been rather dissapointing, and the PS3 is still outselling the 360 in Japan despite them.

2) The high price of the PS3 at launch was because Sony knew that several of the PS3's components would decrease in price almost immediately, and they have. Blu-Ray diodes alone are more than $100 cheaper to manufacture than they were at launch, they've removed the Emotion Engine, and the Cell processor will become cheaper to manufacture once they move to a 65nm process. This is why the 60GB model is being phased out(80GB HD's are also cheaper to buy in bulk). There can easily be a $299 PS3 by next Christmas, Sony just didn't think they'd have to do so until much later.

Thats if they dont want to break even. Sony right now was loosing what 300 a playstation sold that was at 600 so if it is 100 less now they are 200 in the hole for each playstation. Now if they want to bring it down to 300 and break even they would have to decrease production costs by 300 to 400 dollars...now thats expensive. So it really matters if they want to break even or want to stay in the hole

BTW blue dragon and eternal sonota both got awards and high review rankings in japan, while it didnt boost 360 sales in japan as much as they hoped we cant know thats its not good till both come out here in US

That and Lost odyssey looks very promising

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
