Please don't put words into my mouth. What I'm saying is that the 360 will see weaker then expected sales due to the fallout of the failure rate news. Sales have started to slow down and I don't think that even the price drop and 3 year warranty will help them out that much. There are people who have been soured due to sending back their 360 multiple times and have only one choice to go to for next gen graphics and games. BTW, what console is selling 200k units a week right now? Wii would be the closest to that, while the PS3 and 360 would do that in a month right now. During the holiday season? Sure, the PS3 will have no problems selling that many units. I can see the PS3 being on many xmas lists. At least, more then I would expect the 360. I'm not predicting that it would be a hugeamount that the PS3 will outsell the 360 for the rest of this year, just a tiny bit and it may even bounce back and forth some weeks. Then when the AAA games for the PS3 come out, we will see sales truly explode for the PS3. I also would suspect that there would be yet another price drop on the PS3 sometime from now until then to encourage even more to make the move and buy a PS3. I had to go back to my post to see where in the world you got the idea that I said the PS3 would sell 200k a week and couldn't see how you could have thought that. However I did see an error, I stated that starting in 2009 that sales would take off, I meant in early 2008. :) |
so every argument that it will be in 2008 is based on huge aaa titles coming out, well if we all havent knowticed xbox is having that season during this year.
So according to most of you games will push the playstation but it wont push the xbox? now i find that hard to believe.
I can see ps3 overtaking xbox but in 2009 at earliest but hey its always up to the consumer so who knows
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.
Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
