4th option, figure out a way to make PS3 cheap and lower its price to say USD 250. I do not have a PS3 currently, but will go for a blue ray player for USD 250.

At USD 250 a piece, I think PS3 should be able to sell as many as wii.

Why stop there?

Why not just figure out how to make the PS3 free?

Or why not figure out how to make the PS3 PRINT MONEY?

They have people working on cost reduction, don't worry about that. It's going to take a long time for it to hit $250. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

If there are other blue ray player cheaper than PS3 then I will not even buy a PS3.  Currently, all blue ray player is too expensive for me.  I am planning on spending 250 on a blue ray player.

If PS3 wants to attract customers because it has "Blue Ray" then, it needs to be cheaper than other blue ray players out there and cost less than $250.  Currently, I think it is the cheapest blue ray player in the market, but still too expensive.  250 will do for me.

I wont be wanting or needing a Blu ray player for a number of years as it has very little,if anthing to offer me over a DVD player. I don't want hours and hours of extra features on a disk just so they can put a few more pounds on each disk, I just want the main feature and if the story is exciting and engrosing or the comedy is funny enough any improvement in picture quality means nothing; if the quality of the actual feature is terrible it doesn't matter how good it looks, I'm still switching off!

DVD players and DVDs offered a vast difference over video and video cassettes, the same cannot be said for Blu ray players and disks.

Same goes for HD DVD too.
