Only if you buy more than 40 or 50 current generation titles will the PC be cheaper. And that's not factoring in the fact that PC games cost just as much console games on day 1 (not $20 cheaper like I used for my calculations), and that console games get price cuts, too. So basically what I'm trying to say is; there is no way that PC gaming is cheaper than console, at most, they're the same price, but even that's stretching it. |

On the other side, my PC was around 750 euros:

4gb 1066MHz DDR2
ATi 4850 512MB
500GB SATA300 HDD
SATA DVD writer, coolermaster case, 600Watt Corsair PSU
We could safely say, that this configuration is capable of running every game at the moment, and pretty much smoothly.
It can also be said that this is more powerful than Xbox360 elite, which costs 500euros here.
So, for 250 euros more i get a more powerful machine, with more capabilities and cheaper games.
