Sony are primarily a hardware company, so its unlikely to say the least.
But if they did want to...
- the PS3 would be their last console.
- they would spin off a new "game publishing division" - to work with other console manufacturers
- they would more than likely go "cross-platform", and support everything.
I think its more interesting to consider what would happen, if MS dropped out of the console race (360 was their last console).
