@Falcon A spin-off of what exactly? The Crystal Chronicles series has basically nothing in common with Final Fantasy other than the Name, and a few things like Moogles, and Magicite. After that the similarities end. It technically is a series of its own, and no its not a spinoff.
Anyway just look at the trailer from last year.
That is where most of the hype is from.
