Does 360 come with a TV? Does 360 come with speakers? Does 360 come with a free couch? Mouse + Keyboard: $15 As for difficulty, putting a PC together is easier than some lego kits.
As for going out of date in a year, that's ridiculous. The system is far more powerful than 360, and games are still being made for 360. So when FFXIII comes out, or any future multiplatform game, the PC above will be able to run them with better visuals than 360, as usual. The current state of multiplatform gaming has made low-end PC's future-proof.

Now, see, I have a problem with that statement. No, the 360 doesn't come with those things but every single person who buys a console already has those things. And they use it for other stuff, too, not just gaming.
The problem for me with PC gaming is that whole installing games thing. That takes up room on your PC, and the more games you have, the slower your computer runs. Plus, actually buying a PC that runs games decently can be quite expensive (easily more expensive than a console). And playing games in full HD on a huge screen is an experience in itself.
I don't know why PC gamers get so defensive about their choice, but for me, a console is better by a mile if you just wanna game.
For the record, my gaming currently consists of playing Smash Bros on my Wii (on a 27" non-HD TV) and Counter-Strike on my PC. So believe me, I'm not one of those biased console owners who won't even give PC gaming a chance.
