That's great... for you. But you shouldn't exclude reality when you want to come to an accurate analysis of the situation. What in your opinion suggests that demand for the Wii will be lower than last year? The holiday lineup is stronger than last year and the variety is broader. Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit and SSBB are having their first holiday season, Wii Music and Animal Crossing are guaranteed to be million sellers. 3rd party games are also better than last year, so what's going to slow down demand?

From the look of things, it's making more sense to expect bigger demand for Wii hardware and software this year than it was last year.

- more people than last year posess HD TVs

- economy/banking crisis reduces demand for consumer devices.  Economics see many parallels to the big economy crisis 1929. Companies like GM fight bancruptcy, Banks like Lehman Brothers are finished etc. etc. etc..... . Isn't this a topic in American Media?

- price reductions on the HD consoles

- Wii hype lower than last year
