Here in Germany in every store I can see huge stacks of Wii, X360 and PS3. And this is the case for many months now. There was a time when Wii was supply constraint, but that was in 2007 and early 2008. I don't think Nintendo cuts back deliveries to NA to be able to supply Germany.

The units that Nintendo doesn't ship to NA right now are stockpiled for the holiday season in NA where the demand for the Wii is by far the greatest. They expect to ship at least 5m Wiis to NA in the last quarter of this calendar year, but even that might not be enough to cover the demand for the system.

 In 4th quarter of 2007 Nintendo sold 3.7 mio. Wii in NA. I expect demand to be lower this year.

You are probably right.  Demand last year was for probably about 10-15m or more, but it's hard to say for sure.  Just going by ebay prices last year.  Without supply meeting demand it's hard to tell for certain.

Demand will probably fall to about 7m this year.

10-15 mio.? 7 mio.? Please get serious ;)

I expect demand for the Wii to be lower than 3.7 mio this year in NA.
