Here in Germany in every store I can see huge stacks of Wii, X360 and PS3. And this is the case for many months now. There was a time when Wii was supply constraint, but that was in 2007 and early 2008. I don't think Nintendo cuts back deliveries to NA to be able to supply Germany.

The units that Nintendo doesn't ship to NA right now are stockpiled for the holiday season in NA where the demand for the Wii is by far the greatest. They expect to ship at least 5m Wiis to NA in the last quarter of this calendar year, but even that might not be enough to cover the demand for the system.

 In 4th quarter of 2007 Nintendo sold 3.7 mio. Wii in NA. I expect demand to be lower this year.
