With Xbox 360 I can play new games on a $300 system, which is nothing compared to how much it would cost to buy and upgrade a computer to play the same game.  Also, Xbox multiplayer is a better experience than PC multiplayer, be it on the couch with friends or easily getting a game going along much easier with more friends.

To equal a 360 would probably take $350 to $400 on a PC.   $500 would get you a PC that runs Bioshock, Mass Effect, GTA IV, Gears, and any other game with far better visual quality than 360/PS3.  Also, many PC users prefer Steam to Live, and there's no law against using a PC in the living room, 360 controller in hand.

 Wii = in-person multiplayer, new-gen gaming

PC = traditional gaming, online multiplayer

Xbox 360 = sports games  (the only genre not well represented by the two above)

PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)
