It is not going to be a question of weather the masses want to move on or not. The move from VHS to DVD was not because people wanted DVD. Many people I know held onto VHS as long as they could, but at some point they realized they had to move on or stop enjoying movies. The nice thing about this transition is people do not have to get rid of their old libraries. In fact their Blu-ray player will even make their old DVDs look much better. Due to that, CE companies really have no need to continue to manufacture DVD players. They will for a couple of more years, as they know not everyone can afford a $200+ device. Once Blu-ray players are below $100 very few DVD players will be available.

This is the way it goes, and average consumers will make the move when they are comfortable. Like I said, the only people that are going to hold out are people on that have some kind of grudge, and that is a very small protion of the market.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
