I'm with bardicverse here, I'm not sure where that uninformed statement came from. It's common for people to call all game systems 'Nintendos'. A friend of mine still calls her PS2 a Nintendo, and I have to correct my wife half the time when she calls my Xbox 360, the Nintendo.
