There is no chance of Microsoft selling 30 million by the end of the year, due to one indisputable fact: Microsoft cannot sell a console that has not been built. Getting to 30 million by the end of this year would require Microsoft to either make some 2.3 million units a month -which they simply can't do- or to have stockpiled at least 5 million units over the course of the year and make 1 million units per month on top of their current sales: exceedingly unlikely.

All three consoles will sell out this year. They virtually always do; even the unpopular ones manage. This makes the question of who can sell the most a simple question of who can build the most, and that is no question at all: Nintendo will dominate.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.
