Putting it into perspective.
This is Japan only.
So far this year, DS has sold 2.4M
Last year, it had sold 5.6M at the same time. It sold 2.0M in the last 3 months of the year. If the DSi sells 1.2M, the total DS sales are likely to be at least 1.7M (ish), and if it sells 1.5M, 2.0M total.
That's an increase of over 200% of what it would have sold otherwise, assuming the trend would have stayed.
