It sounds like the Australian launch was also a disaster with ~50 people showing up, and in London where they were giving away HDTVs to the first 100 buyers ~120 showed up (so 100 to get an HDTV at a fraction the price, 20 suckers to get a PS3)
I can't wait to see how Sony's press release spins this
