Appealing to the Casual crowd is essential for the Wii to maintain momentum in this hiatus of decent titles. Since most developers didn't jump onto the Wii bandwagon until well after its launch it'll be a while before we still see an ample supply of good third party games. Patience is key here. And the Casual crowd is but a small burden to bear in the mean time and is no doubt solely responsable for the Wii selling as well as it has inspite of its limited library.

The Casual Games are not the handicap of Nintendo, they are its lifeboat and sales pitch. The vehicle by which it will open the door to recapturing market dominance.

Incidentally PS3 is still announcing games that didn't begin development until well before the PS3's launch so we'll most likely see a stark reversal of third party game support in a year or two's time.
