The PS3 seems to be following the footsteps of the PSP - except that it is doing even worse. Look at the software sales figures for both machines. Without a "true" software differentiator (i.e. being able to do something unique, cool & different), there just isn't enough reason to buy the "more" expensive piece of hardware. And when its the cheaper hardware that does "more"... you can guess the result. Imagine what the sales chart would look like if Nintendo was able to ship 2-3x as many DS/Wii units...
