My WII wasn't glowing either, and still don't see a message. It's because someone was so nice to put the news down here or I wouldn't have know about it ;)
Shopping channel all confirmed! Don't know if this is worldwide or Japan Only, but in the notification area you at least get a blue line now when you're scrolling, at least you know now where you're clicking at.
Eh is it just me or is my screen suddenly turning hazy on my LCD TV with the WII menu :=/.
