To be honest, I'm starting to get confused about this. For one part I understand that the DSi is offering something different than PSP and iPhone, not competing in offering the better functionalitites, but different functionalities, and that could be like the "entrance" to new people into gaming.
However, as Gnizmo is saying, I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo didn't enter a Red Ocean. Are people gonna be interested in buying a DSi for the new Camera, if they can also have a camera in other systems? Yes, the camera has functionalities no other system has, but still I'm not sure if it will be enough to convince people to buy it. Right now I know a lot of people interested in buying the DSi, some have a DS, others not, but all of them are interested in gaming anyway.
The DSi is supposed to be a third pillar, to attract distant customers that didn't care about gaming. Will it work with this exclusive functionalities?
