the big difference here..is that blue ocean means interesting people into whatever you're selling..

wich is games..

camera games..downloadable games etc

PSP doesn't offer games related to it's extra features..it's not like the DS touchscreen is only used for the main menu..

if you think like nintendo you get it..if you think like sony you won't get it..and try to copy and fail

PSP could work..if they used the music and movies and storage as games..or incorporated it in games

I'm sure nintendo will..they added some sort of mario paint?

the browser comes with it..wich could mean internet based games..like the

BS Zelda series for Nes and SNES

so...if you look at it from the point of view..of SELLING games..and not music..or cameras

you might start to understand why the DS is blue ocean and succeeds..and will succeed again

while the others fail...YES PSP FAILED hard.. ^^'' it just did..

By your logic the PS3 is blue ocean. Sony used blu-ray to increase the storage space of games giving them a better ability to put in high end graphics while also allowing you to play a new format of movies on the system.

The Xbox was blue ocean. It added a hard drive which could be used to save games, play music and enhanced game performance by allowing disc caching for certain games.

The PSP is blue ocean by incorporating a built in web browser allowing you to surf the net and find the online flash games to play and enjoy.

The Dreamcast was blue ocea. It added interenet functionality by defaul and allowed you to browse the internet and play games against your friends.

The PSP is a stellar succes by any rational definition. Coing in second does not mean you failed. It has an incredible user base and has almost certainly turned a nice profit. It also has been the most successful competitor against any Nintendo hand held in history.

You have a theory and are trying to fit the evidence to it. Look at this objectively and you will see why you are wrong.
