LBP will do well, but not Fable 2 well. Fable 2 is coming as a sequel to a very well-received game that sold 3 million copies. LBP is coming from rampany "Sony is going to save itself" fanboyism that kept saying every single IP was going to make the system ascend to the heights.
Lair, Uncharted, Yakuza, MGS, DMC, GTAIV, Heavenly Sword, HSG and other IPs have all been quoted as all being some sort of innate savior of the PS3, and all have underwhelmed compare to past iteerations, or expectations of Sony fanboys. Why are we to randomly believe an IP with less 'cred' than half of the listed games is going to somehow blow the doors off of every retail store, and sell 3+ million copies to compare to Fable 2?
LBP would be very good to come within 1 million units of Fable 2.
