Tretton: PS3 Sales Better Than Expected, Sales May Be Affected by Shortages

If they weren't expecting Ps3 sales to be this good ( which is relative). How come he predicted PS3 sales to end up over 150 million? I wonder what his response will be when the PS3 doesn't do that well.
