All three consoles will sell out this Christmas. They virtually always do, even the unpopular ones. The only two that have ever failed to sell out during the holiday season were the NES and PS3, and even then it only happened during their first years on the market.

Since we know they will sell out, the question of who will sell the most reduces to a far simpler question: who can build the most consoles? Nintendo wins here, hands down and bar none. Second place is harder to determine.

If you're going to make a claim that is very likely not true, then you should at least find a source for it. Are you going to claim that the Nintendo 64 has never failed to sell out? Xbox? Gamecube? Any popular, semi-popular, or even laughably unpopular system ever made? Hell, I'm pretty sure the Wii didn't sell out in Japan during holiday season 2007, and the sales were a blowout (Wii Fit helped quite a bit).

Anyways, the 360 will easily get beaten by the Wii. The PS3 has a pretty decent chance for a comeback by the end of the year so I wouldn't count it out just yet. The 360 has been beating the PS3 for what was it, 3 or 4 weeks now? On the other hand, this year alone, the PS3 has beaten the 360 worldwide dozens of weeks in a row. We're just not used to the idea that the 360 can sell better since most of us have grown out of the 2007 mindset. The recent pricedrop for the 360 and its  launch of several big games puts the PS3 in a situation pretty similar to 2007, where it was consistently being outsold by the 360 week after week. When the big games launch this holiday season, I wouldn't be surprised to see the PS3 pull back ahead, if only by a slim margin.

Hey, few people expected it last year, did they?
