I really didn't expect too much from this game because of its developer, but I still find it hard to believe how they managed to screw up an RPG so much. It's like they don't have any idea how to make an RPG. It seems they tried their best to take out all the fun and added in tons of frustrations. The weird thing about the battles is that you don't have to fear the special attacks of enemies, those can easily be blocked by mastering the Elite Beat Agents like patterns that appear on the screen. But the regular attacks of the enemies are so damn strong and some of them can hit two of your members twice in a single turn. All you can do is hope that enemies rely on their useless special attacks or that their regular attacks miss. I still can't believe that there aren't any stats for attack and defense (the real ones) in this game. |
Now I know this is weird for me to say this coming from someone who felt that Mass Effect was disappointing but I thought Bioware was one of the most respected RPG developers out there
