@Teoulas: It could be a built-in feature in the hardware and software it comes with. If Nintendo has plans for voice recognition, most logical thing to do would be to put as much software as possible with Wii Speak (and the hardware could work on voice recognition along with standard Wii hardware for additional processing power.
