Or do you simply think the poster was stupid to throw himself in front of a bus like that? I knew he was going to get jumped on for that prediction as soon as I saw it.

My justification was that he is a cancer surviver and has beaten the odds so far in surviving. His cancer could resurface at any time and kill him, or at least make him incapable of leading the country. He is also old but he is in good health.

In that case, I'd have to say that you're wrong -- it's my understanding that since it's been several years since he had the cancer, it's considered very unlikely for it to resurface.
