Yes, if Mario was M-rated, it would be more violent, bloody, etc. and in turn the OP would enjoy it more. If you actually read through the topic, you would know he gave that exact example. He has every right to feel that way also. He doesn't need a reason just to appease you. Also you basically missed my entire point. Nobody in this topic believes the ESRB when they label a Mature game as mature. Everyone here understands that is a stand-in word to respresent a game not appropriate for people under the age of 17. If you aren't familiar, this is how rating systems work. I'm sure they would have loved to go with the word "Restricted" but unfortunately I would put good money on the MPAA having trademarked that only for their use long ago. If you don't give a crap about the ratings system then why even bother getting in this discussion? Obviously it's causing you boredom, so it would be better for you to find a more enjoyable discussion before this one puts you to sleep.

I usually read entire posts (I've been reading through discussions throughout this board since around maybe late 2006), and I enjoyed reading fan boy posts and more stuff about gaming... But the ESRB crap really gets on my nerves. I just felt like posting my thoughts on the ESRB garbage. It's funny how a large portion of GTA is played by 13 year olds and below! I find it quite shocking really. If these ratings would actually work i would respect them more.
It is fun arguing about subjects... And didn't I say that I'm not the one to choose what a person likes? Actually I don't really care what other people like. I like what I like; I don't care about ratings, nor do I look at reviews. Hell even when i was 12 years old I liked "mature" rated games, but as I aged I started disliking them because of what they depict as "mature content". The discussion is not making me feel bored, you are not the one to decide on whether I can go into a discussion or not. It is my free will.
