@Onyx - What happens if they all lose it in the same week though?

Time of the game I suppose. The advantage would go to the team that loses it later that day, or on Monday night. If the two teams play at the same time, one would finish before the other naturally. It's just a thought. We should use that fist reply you have for a weekly contest for some extra points. It could be something simple like predicting top passing, rushing, receiving or sacks. I mention those four because they always keep those weekly stats updated on the front page of nfl.com. You just need to guess the player.

@Jackson-Damn, forgot the Ravens. That missed game in Week 2 really threw me off from how they're doing. So if we do this it would be out of the four teams, or three teams if the Ravens lose tomorrow.

hmm, I'm not sure about that. It would probably end up being decided by whose game had more delays and lengthy challenges more than anything else, and that kind of makes it pointless.

Regarding the second part - ye, I considered having a weekly contest like that but I wasn't sure. The problem is that it would have a heavy influence on the total points column of the league table, and I think that our win/loss game predictions (as well as our playoff predictions) should be the main factor in deciding who wins the league. Also, the main reason I created the league was for win/loss game predictions and I don't want to move too far away from that.

One idea is for the small weekly contest to not have any influence over the league table (i.e have them not count towards our point totals).

Another would be to have a 'weekly competition wins' column, and everytime you win the weekly contest you get a point in that column but it doesn't get included in the total points column. It could then be another way of deciding each rank in the event of a tie over everything else, which could prove useful.

Finally, that whole second post could be devoted to those smaller competitions, and it could have its own little league table in it.

That sounds good. There's just so little to do in the league right now, and a little more researched predicting never hurt anybody. Also, if we don't include it in the main table, it gives everyone the option whether they want to participate or not.

Regarding the winning streak idea, how about if we instead pick the week they lose it? That way there are no factors that could get in the way. We would simply say for instance:

Buffalo Bills-Week 5-Loss to Arizona Cardinals(Not gonna happen, it's just an example)

Etc. for the other remaining teams.

Another idea I thunked up is we could predict the MVP.

@markers-That may be true. However it still gives almost every team some advantage over another division rival. Dallas and Philly are almost evenly matched. Possibly the same with Dallas and Washington...or maybe it was a bad day. New York thrashed Washington but then went into overtime to beat an 0-4 Bengals. My point was that this is a volatile league and anything can happen. If I were to pick the top five teams right now, there's a good shot that three of them are in that division alone. Even Philly, with a .500 came with the heat in both of their losses, and barely got outplayed.
