We should do it now. It leaves much more room for error, while still giving us a small idea of each team's skill judging from week one. By week six we'll probably all have too good of an idea of the playoff situation for it to be predicting anymore. You go ahead and create the rules and points for it. I have my picks at the ready. My ideas were to give points for guessing the division winners and wildcards correctly, points for guessing the seed orders correctly and then points for each correct matchup leading to the Super Bowl, meaning like if Dallas and Chargers made it, but you only picked Dallas, you would get one point but if someone had picked both, they would get two points.
Correct brackets=1 point for each correct prediction + 1 additional point for each correct regular season win/loss standings(24 points possible)
Seed order=1 point for each correct seed number placed in the correct division + 1 point for each seed that correctly matches it's predicted team(24 points possible)
Playoff wins/losses=1 point for each correctly predicted team that keeps moving up game after game as you predict them(11 points possible)
Total possible points=59
That's just a rough sketch.
