In the past wars have helped America's economy greatly, look at what
World War I did for the economy after the great depression. However the economic model based off sustained war is extremely unstable and leaves the world in a volatile state.
The money built off contracting in Iraq is massive, however this money has not found its way back into the American economy for whatever reason.
Couple that with the fact that America borrows massive amounts of money from China then uses that same money to buy Chinese goods and you see how ludacris and foolish our economic system is.
Although I disagree with you Slorgnet that regions like China can become big game consumers. Not because they wont buy the hardware but because companies won't be able to sell any significant amounts of software due to the massive pirating and the governments lack of crackdowns on such pirating.
