I don't feel like getting in a fit and warning/banning Diomedes on my b-day, so I won't. Let me just say that the Wii definitely had help from its FREAKING HUMONGOUS userbase advantage. In PAL, where the userbase advantage is only about 4 million, the PS3 version handily outsold the Wii version. And remember that a lot of Wii owners were hyped out of the wazoo for Wii-mote lightsaber controls. Just because it's a sci-fi game doesn't mean Wii owners won't buy it. Everyone loves Star Wars. Just look at how well Star Wars games have sold on Nintendo platforms even when they weren't child oriented (Rogue Squadron anyone?).

Yes but everyone looks at it far to simply.  You don't just say because the userbase is bigger that it will outsell it, especially only looking at 1 week.  360 has about a 5 million userbase disadvantage outside of Japan (about 25%), PS3 has a disadvantage of 12 million (a little more than half).  The wii does not have nearly as many hardcore gamers as the 360 which make up the bulk of the people who will buy it week 1.  The wii probably has around the same hardcore users as PS3 which explains why the sales were close.  It's just a fact that the wii doesn't have the same kind of userbase, you have to look at how big the targeted userbase is, not the whole userbase.  Casuals will buy the game too, but they aren't going to line up to buy it day 1 which is why the wii is going to slowly make up ground eventually.
