That actually looks feasible. They could implement ALL of these changes with the DS (1) specs - so all software would be fully compatible.
Music playback --> internal memory?
I'm seriously expecting Nintendo to go down the same road as Apple - start releasing iterative upgrades to the hardware (including increased on-board memory). This makes a "soft" transition between the DS & DS II very possible.
We'll find out in about 3 days I believe - the Oct 2(?) news event, held in both Japan & US.
(larger screen is just that - a larger screen, running the same resolution- it wouldn't be heaps larger though, just 10%-20% max).
