I know you're really hyped for Far Cry 2, but I'm going to give my opinion on the matter.
Far Cry 2 looks good, and the engine certainly has some nice effects: the fire as you mentioned, the lighting, the destructible vegetation etc. and the game does look like it's going to be fun to play. However, in my opinion it's just not in the same league as MGS4 or Killzone 2 in terms of production values and overall polish.
As for GT5, it's probably the best looking game ever made, but it's also a racing game which makes it very difficult to compare to the likes of a shooter.
Uncharted looks great, but I'd have to give Far Cry 2 the nod between the two, mostly due to the great effects the Dunia engine can produce. (Especially the destructible scenery and vegetation).
