ps3 disc problem help please!

No response? as in the bluray disk icon doesn''t pop up? Check as many as DVD and bluray disks to see if anything else has the same problem. If you see an error pop up that starts with "801", then you're boned and will need to send it back to Sony.

If it's the 801xxxxxx error, then it's just a matter of time before all disks become unreadable.

 

This. Happened to me. At first BD's stopped working and I was stuck playing DVD's and CDs [PS1 and 2 games worked fine...]
Then about 2 weeks later discs wouldn't spin. Am waiting to get my console back from SONY right now....
