That's a weird wrap-around projectile gun.
You can adjust it on the fly, but basically it sends two projectiles out which are attached by a "rope" of whatever (Plasma probably) and it will wrap around your enemies, or for instance aim the left hand ball at the corner in a street and the other ball will swing round the corner.
