The 6th Gen consoles.....well, at least the PS2 is still awesome. Non BC and price I think kept many from making the jump to the PS3. The PS3 is a great console, but I think a lot of people are still extremely happy with their slim PS2's.
I still enjoy my PS2 even though I am in love with my Elite and Wii. There are just SOOO many good games on the PS2, that it is hard to deny the continuing enjoyment. Sony has recognized that the PS2 it is still a flagship console and is still making money off of it. Some of my friends still only play their PS2's and as of yet, purchased a 360, Wii, or PS3.
