I have heard just as many stories of Wiis being sent back on this site as I have for PS3s, admitedly that is anecdotal, but this site is quite large.

 

Sony site: PS3 only 0.02% hardware failure rates. Wii between 1 to 2% hardware failure rates.

 

Well I did ask for a Source rather than a Link.... but a link would be nice too, especially considering this is a Sony site giving failure rates for a Sony console vs a rival console.

Also was that figure aquired before the debacle that was GTAIV (which caused a number of PS3 problems) and after the Japan release of SSBB (also caused problems).
