Ouch. I thought I'd never a 6.5 for a Bioware game on a mainstream gaming site. Even the story isn't up to Bioware standards. Who in the hell's idea was it to make the first 6 hours of the game mostly fecth quests? That's just lazy(and poor) game design. Dialouge trees don't have long term effect in the stort neither. They might as well not have the dialouge trees there at all and have the game labeled as a Western-developed JRPG. Even with that said, the game doesn't seem THAT bad. If fact, I think that with the Sonic brand and the fact that this game is a starter RPG, I think that Bioware was trying to get a bigger RPG fanbase by aiming the game at children(all Sonic games are aimed at children so I'm not suprised).

I'll probably write a mini review of the game late next week. Not too sure what I should think of this game after reading the full IGN review, but it doesn't sound too good. You say that all Sonic games are aimed at children, but I disagree with that. Getting 100 % in the 3D platformers and the Sonic Rush games turned out to be quite challenging, seems to me like Sonic games are aimed at a large age bracket, kinda like Mario games which have challenging enough parts to entertain experienced gamers.

but you never see a Mario game appealing to giving an annoying character a boyfriend so that she becomes even more annoying. even Sonic Rush has some really annoying dialogue, that looks like it came from the cartoon, if that wasn't Riachu's point, well, that's my opinion on why Sega is kinda lost with Sonic (that and making bad games do not help at all lol)
