I was lead to your great analysis by your totally stupid THQ-Post ...
It was much too read, but a nice analysis. And I also agree. I am a Wii-only Gamer and it was true, that in the beginning of the life-span of the Wii there were too few games available. Especially in the Others-Territory. We got the Wii early, but the Games needed some time.
Right now however, there are more than enough games available. Especially for people like me, who play nearly everything. Some genres could need more games. For instance the FPS-genre. (Damn, the Wii-control is perfect for FPS, it should be flooded with them ...)
On the other hand, we have totally new genres, which the other consoles don't have. Like the fitness genre or the medical simulation genre.
