wow - the 360 sold much worse than I expected...(i was thinking along the lines of 25k+ units, now they move 13000 less units than last week? WTF?)
and yet the PS3 sold 100 or so more units than last week without a pricecut?
Those loveable Japanese, they're so weird!

and again it seems Nintendo FTW!

I think the price cut was last week. It moved 28k units(up from the usual 3k). This was the second week, I think. If you expected 25 plus units, moved, you expected no drop during the second week of the price cut. The 360 was actually still way above how much it usually sells.

I think either you or I have a misconception about when the price cut was. I thought this was the second week that it was in effect, and(I think) you think it's the first.

yeah i think you're right. but didn't the first week (of the Japan price cut) only reflect the first two days of the price cut? thats why i thought this weeks numbers would be higher for the 360

I find it confusing to keep track of each regions price cuts - why didn't they just cut all regions at once? stock constraints i suppose, but by all accounts they've sold out in Japan anyway...
