It works but not for player1. When starting the game and choosing the controls for player 1 (me) I can pick only the Wiimote while for player 2 I can pick the wavebird. I need the wavebird for player 1 though.

It could be like Mario Kart Wii.

I had to go into multiplayer and switch controllers to be able to use the GC controller in 1 player. Luckily I don't use GC controller much, I prefer Wii remote + Nunchuck.

 

 

When I had this problen with Mario Kart Wii I found it was because of how I selected to play the game in the first place. When the Mario Kart Wii screen appeared, showing something like "press A", if I pressed A using the Wii remote I could only use the Wii remote for player 1, but if I pressed A using my Wavebird or my wired GC contoller, I could use these for player 1 instead.

Dunno if this would work with Bomberman Blast?
