Seriously, I think you're wrong.  People "come out" via magazines because they've been harassed about it for years and people already asume they are.  It's empowering for them because they can say, "Yeah...so what.  Quit asking." 

Do you realize the amount of negativity that will surround this announcement and how many fans he will lose because of it?
