The simple fact of why you'd buy Rock Band:
Song Quality.
Unlike what Guitar Hero has done upto this point, they haven't screwed the early adopters over with content. Remember those GH1-3 discs, 80s and Aerosmith games you have? 0% compatible with GH:WT. The only thing that will work are the instruments.
That's in total opposition to the 100% compatibility of Rock Band 2. I'll be able to go out and buy Rock Band 2, and port 99% of the songs I have via Rock Band 1, and my PAID DLC over to Rock Band 2. No disc swapping.
So the question is...Why wouldn't someone that has Rock Band get Rock Band 2 over GH:WT? I know there are GH-WT loyalists, but if you've already invested anything into the genre, you should go with Rock Band.
